OK, I want to be good... OS 9 4 posts May 18, 2012 — May 18, 2012
...so I am not digging up an old thread. I want a Guided Tour of MacWrite and MacPaint for the Macintosh 128k (hopefully running System 1.1 based on my 128k's serial number and how it breaks down) disk image in English.

I can't get to the GAMBA supported link (multimac.ch etc. which is a banned Swiss website) using any browser on any of my Macs, ranging from Internet Explorer 5.1.7 for Mac on my Quicksilver 2001 running Mac OS 9.2.2 to browsers like Safari 5.0 and Internet Explorer 9 on Snow Leopard and Windows 7. All redirect to a non-illegal (and also unclaimed) ww2 version of the same website. :-/

For a short recap, the serial number is F4410PMM0001, and I tried 3 different times (all of which it was eventually removed) to add it to the M0001 Registry.

I have followed the group's recommendations and purchased a System Saver, bought Macintosh Repair and Upgrade Secrets by Larry Pina, have it plugged into a UPS. I run System 1.1 Finder 1.1g on it most of the time, I want Guided Tour of MacWrite and MacPaint images and I have been frustrated for months now.

I am so exasperated. Somewhere out there, I feel certain this software is available.

If that's software/educational materials that shipped with your 128k, have you looked at Apple's website for it?

I looked around a bit just to see . . . I understand your frustration.

I can't believe they pulled the plug on MUGs distributing FREE Mac OS versions and the guided tours! ::)
