I totally spaced on the fact that the I/O panel would be a little different due to the lack of FW800. D'oh! Good thing the eBay seller you bought from had been down that road before and hooked you up with extra parts for free. That's awesome.

) if you feel inspired enough. Having worked in a call center doing Customer Service (although for a cell phone company that rhymed with E-Mobile) I can personally attest that sometimes the answer to your request is dependent on the rep, not the company or policy...
