It was probably never installed. No TCP/IP installed... It's a fairly spartan 7.0.1 installation. Claris, WordPerfect, Word, and Norton are the only apps... which I have no issue with losing if I do a clean install... I'm on the fence as to go to 7.5...
I have an AsanteTalk, and I've not been able to get that to work as of yet. I'm wondering installing TCP/IP will fix that. I'm hoping to be able to connect the Classic II to my existing network for file sharing. (I may write a new post about that particular evil plan, as I have a few questions) I don't need to surf on the Classic tho...
Works great using LocalTalk to a Wallstreet G3 233, running os8.6, but surfing on that thing is a drag using Netscape 4.7. I think Netscape 7.01 will work w/OS 8.6, which may help... Regardless, I'd rather have the Classic II plugged into my existing network (if it's possible) where I can send files to it from any computer I'm surfing on at the moment.
