Back in the day I liked burning the files to CD. Later to DVD until that got too small. What I liked about the CDs was that I had a copy of my files as of certain dates. If a file I only used occasionally was corrupted or accidentally erased, I could go back and find the last good copy. Actually that's why I went to CDs. I had backup copies of a seldom used file somehow the file became corrupted and I'd copied the corrupted file to all the backups. Spent the better part of a week recreating that file. The budget suddenly had room for a $1200 CD burner. At the beginning I could copy my whole hard drive to CD.
