Thge Mac286 might be stuck needing OS 7.x, it is a very old card but any 68K with dual Nubus slots should work (there are 2 boards one for the CPU and other for RAM + drive controller connected with dual ribbon cables). Your IIci might need new capacitors on the motherboard.
