Nice, I really like my PDQ and Pismo as well, but haven't really used them enough to compare them. The Pismo got a lot of love and attention when it was the Backup Browser for 10.1" HP-Mini, but after I got the 11.2" 3G NetBook, I haven't had much time for it. The PDQ got a lot of TLC when I was setting up to be my Quicken workstation, maybe it'll get some use soon . . .

I use Zip drives in my PDQ and Pismo, along with the rest of my working collection for most file transfers. I find the wait times more bearable than USB, it's universal from the IIfx on up to my NetBook and QS'02 main machines.

For some reason, OS9 has been chewing up Micro-SD cards and borked a couple of USB KCHN Drives as well. I haven't lost a ZIP disk yet, go figure.
