Hi I am planning on purchasing this adapter to hook up my Quadra 610 which has an aaui port to a modern ethernet cable (airport express). I just wanted to make sure that this one would work because I have seen different ones that say like "rj45" and "10 base t" etc. Hoping someone could assure me that this is indeed the correct type of adapter that I need.

I have the same one as in the first picture (with "friendlynet" on it) and use it in the exact same way as you airport-assante- quadra 700. So go for it
AAUI is exactly like AUI. It's a standard network interface but the media type transceiver that connects to it can be whatever you want.
