Boxed Macintosh Plus & ImageWriter II
Hi All!
Stumbled on this boxed Macintosh Plus and ImageWriter II on craigslist for $ 70
Both items have been used, but are in excellent condition including most if not all original packing materials, as well as original boxed copies of Macintosh Paint, Macintosh Project, Macintosh Hypercard all with original packaging including disks and shrink wrapped manuals.
The Serial number is F6026A3M2503. Would this indicate this mac plus was manufactured the 2nd week of the year? If so that would mean that this machine was produced before the product announcement date of January 15th, 1986! Kinda cool.
Also included was an external 3.5 inch Laser floppy drive and many new ink cartridge replacements.
If any one has links to pictures of the original contents of the mac plus box, i would be interested to see them.
I'll post up more pictures of the box contents later which included all original styrofoams, stickers, and matching keyboard and mouse, power cord etc.

Hopefully picking up a powerbook 540c in great condition next week!
My only other compact at the moment is a mac se with 4mb ram and 40 mb hd. I parted with my dual floppy se, but kept the GCC Hyperdrive FX-20 though!

There was a boxed Mac Plus and IWII being advertised on the Toronto Kijiji for $70 not too long ago. I wonder if that was the same one or if this is just a coincidence.

That is a GREAT find! Very jealous.
I was contemplating buying that, but I couldn't commit to traveling to Markham to pick it up (busy with Uni, and work).
Nevertheless, great score. I've always wanted a boxed compact, and IW printer, but I think I will settle with my boxed Lombard, Kanga, and PB 160.

Holy cow! That looks like they bought it, hooked it up, then never used it! 8-o
haha yeah! but they somehow managed to misplace the system software box and disks!! arghh
