PRAM utility

PRAM utility Hardware 4 posts Oct 4, 2012 — Oct 4, 2012
Does anyone know of a utility to read/write to PRAM? I'm thinking of something that could be used to restore system config on bootup when the machine doesn't have a PRAM battery installed...

TechTool 1.2.1...

Run that program before you shut down, zap the PRAM using it, making sure to save the PRAM data, then, just after you hear the second startup chime, hit the power switch. Next time you boot up, TechTool will be launched, and the data will be restored. Alternatively, click the button that allows you to save the PRAM data, then shut down. When you start up, you'll have to manually launch TechTool, then click the button that restores it. You could also create an AppleScript that could be put in the Startup Items folder to do the restoration process automatically for you.

Brilliant! Trying it now! Thank you! :)

PRAM Auto-Restore is a control panel that will do this. Classic, shareware.
