1991 Apple Microphone PN#699-5103-B (NIB)
i won this on ebay for .01 cents,
He said this is for quadra, but i would assume it would work with many mac's with a mic port,
does this thing have some value, The reason why i'm asking is because i bought it to use it,
but its packaging is 100% crisp, flawless,
i dont want to un wrap this , use it, if some collector has been looking for one of these… (NIB)

Ooh, that's nice. A coworker of mine gave me a bunch of those mics a few years ago, but I didn't get any of the little mounts with them. You should hold on to that.
It came with the LC's too. I used it all the time in the beginning of the 90's. Loved it
1/100 of 1 cent. Didn't know they went that low.i won this on ebay for .01 cents...

Every LC that shipped had a microphone included with it. They're common as dirt.
Common, but in such a nice package and complete, keep it in your collection for the future.
I own nothing NIB. No Mac I have has a box, I'd like to keep it that way. I'm not the type to care about that. I know there are collectors that do care about NIB everything apple , that is fine
By far , I do not look at my collection and see dollar signs, I see great machines that represent amazing human accomplishment, I want to keep my working system around.
Non working ones go in the garage, I'm also not about show, I will not place a non working machine on my shelf just for show. I'm all about utility, have always been that way. I've always enjoyed the SAE conventions at cobo hall in Detroit over the auto show, Though the hot babes are nice too look at, I always enjoyed what's under the hood

Yup, I still have my Mic from the LC too. Its still functional also
I still have my box for my mic nestled inside my LC box. I remember how excited I was to have a mic on the LC--the day I got the LC, I recorded a sound in the control panel right off the bat. Too bad the system file I had it in is long since gone!
I've seen auctions of these trying to sell for $5, they always pass in.
Look at it this way, you won it for a penny...

I'd go ahead and hook it up to one of the IIsi's. Use it. Yeah, it's cool that it is NOS (New Old Stock), but might as well put it to use.
Interestingly enough, the 14" Macintosh Color Display that's on my IIci still has the round piece of double-back foam tape on it from the mic that was attached to it.
