NiMHs are 1.2V each. Four of them = 4.8V. 16 of = 19.2V. Neither of these is 12V. For 12V, you need ten, in series.

i forgot they were only 1.2v, @1.5v 8 batteries would = 12v, i was going to wire (2) 4packs in series to make 12v, same with the other 2 packs.

so i would have (2) sets wired in parallel, however because they are 1.2v that throws my plan off.

i want to make it simple as possible,

so so i will need a total of (2) sets of 10 1.2v D Cell , Nickel metal, from harbor freight.

id like to keep the stock PSU, and like wise i would like to some how use the stock PSU to charge the batteries when its plugged in.
