All I could find is this,Of coarse it would be much more awesome
to see a 68000 macintosh se running Linux but its a start !
Amazing! Now all we need is a home-made Macintosh! (Somewhere I saw a home-made BBC Micro-must see if I can find it!)
i think apple did some proprietary things in hardware to prevent that. Magic stuff in those VLSI chips etc, and there is always the ROM, you would have to some how write your own, or pirate one, but they frown on that here.
Once it's booted, however, you can take over the machine, as NetBSD and Linux have done for years.
