Why SE?

Why SE? 68k 3 posts Nov 21, 2012 — Nov 21, 2012
In all my reading I don't remember anyone ever saying what "SE" stood for?

Special Edition?

Second Edition?

Snow(white) Edition?

Superior Energy?

Strange Emissions?

I can see why they didn't call the SE/30 the SEx, but why not the SX (or Sx)? What did SE mean?

System Expansion. It was the first Mac with an expansion slot.

An SE with a Motorola 68030 = SE/30.
