What Logic boards will work in a LC575 Housing?
I'm rather pleased, I replaced some caps on the power board of my beat up LC575, and now it works!
I figured I would ask before i try...
Will the Color Classic Main-board work in this?
or any of the previous LC Boards, LC520 / LC550
or the Color Classic II? - or any of the preforma variants.
I was going to be using this machines to test Logic Boards.
thanks

My little brother's LC580 is housing a PowerMac/Performa 52xx/53xx board. (Can't exactly remember which it was.)
So yeah, there are a lot of logic board that will fit in this "little" guy.
Edit: basically, if it fits and the connectors inside align, it should work just fine.

i think the 580 is built a little different.
Ah, good point. Its been a while since I've messed with a LC575.
The boards in the series that ran the same size monitor (e.g., LC550) should all work -- upgrades worked so downgrades should as well, but you may have some issues with CC boards -- don't know, to tell the truth, but as I am sure you know, the resolutions were different.
I'd pop 7.5 on the hard drive for these purposes.

ok i guess ill try the CC board first
I had to steal this funky HD DATA/Power connector thing from my 5160 scsi cdrom.
I am still i am still looking around for a hard drive for this thing.
ill let you know what happens.

CC should work with maxed out VRam. Stock VRAM probably won't drive the monitor, if it does it will be 8 bit color. 520, 550 and 575 boards should work.
CC, 520, CCII, MacTV, 550 and 57x should all be fine. When I swapped my CC's and 550's lobos it worked. The 575 and 550 chassis were identical so it should work.
