Earlier this year I raided a co-worker's Apple collection and bought his PowerBook 100 off of him.
Unfortunately, his did not have a battery, or even a cover. It's been sitting on the shelf with an open battery door, driving me crazy.
Every so often, I'll look on eBay and Amazon for a cheap broken 100, or just the battery. This weekend I found a brand new, still plastic-sealed PowerBook 100 battery. I offered the seller $50, which they accepted.
Now I'm certain that this battery is beyond useful, and I'm mostly buying it for cosmetic purposes. Is there any way to disassemble the battery so I can safely use it? I emember this battery being a sealed lead acid battery that had a plastic wrapping on it, and not hard plastic, like the rest of the PowerBook 1xx series batteries.
