The card arrived today and works just fine . . . with just 2MB of soldered on VRAM . . .

. . . and every VRAM SIMM I've pulled from every slot I can get at has the dreaded "128" in the designation of both chips.

Heck, I set up the Quadra 950 and it booted like a champ, but the 256 colors at 2-pages says no go . . .

. . . at least I didn't take the thing apart! :

But it looks like I'm not done paying for this thing.
