Suggestion beyond resetting the FPU and CPU:
Clean the socket/pins with electronic contact cleaner. That stuff does wonders for me whenever my 68k Macs get oddly flaky. My Q800 started to crash regularly with gibberish errors, and they have all tantalum capacitors. Turns out, the RAM sockets and the pins on the RAM wire dirty. A spray of contact cleaner in the sockets and on the SIMMs, and it works as good as new. (You know, my IIfx could probably use this treatment too, it likes to lock up if left alone for too long)
I bought my can at an automotive store. Make sure its plastic safe, fast evaporating, no residue type.
