Was able to snipe this nice little iBook off eBay. Its a M6411 Graphite iBook, which means its a 466MHz Special Edition iBook! Sniped it for a total of $35. Still have to pay the lady, but it looks to be in decent condition, minus some Sharpie writing on the bottom casing (anyone know how to get that off?). This brings my iBook collection up to 3 of the 5 colors, with only Indigo and Key Lime left to get (although I would also like to get a 366MHz Graphite as the plastic coloring was what Apple called "ice" and not white, so 6 iBooks in total). Half way to completing my iBook collection I have been wanting for so many years! Now I need to fix the Blueberry's LCD. 
Can a mod please rename this thread: TMGs Latest ?

Well, got the iBook today. Has a RAM problem that wasn't stated in the description. In fact, the guy said it booted, but now it is issuing a bad RAM tone. No SODIMM was installed, so its on board RAM.

Shipping or dirt inside can cause that. I have had 2 ibooks that popped up with cache processor erors then self destructed shortly afterwards.
If I could afford one, I would love to have one! That is one the coolest designs Apple put out in my opinion!
Oh boy. What colors were they? The other odd problem is no sound, at all! When the the sleep indicator starts blinking, no beep. And it blinks 4 times (long, short, short, short). I thought RAM problems only blunk 3 times, with 3 beeps.
It takes a little while but my best suggestion is to take it apart and clean and clean some more under the motherboard. If it has issues and sound is one of them, may have already been taken apart as the speaker is wired to the keyboard area part of the case. I am pretty sure ifixit has take aparts on it as thats what i used for a while. All the ibooks I have seen cache fluid in the back like a rain gutter. Interesting how keyboards go bad alot now but the ibook was a motherboard cooking bad boy. I have 5 at the moment with one as parts as the motherboard is iffy and the case is junk.

You inspired me to go digging around in the clamshell service manual for any info. It would seem that there's a sound issue as you stated since it seems the flashes should be accompanied by beeps. This says four flashes would be equal to three beeps (no good banks). The manual says to double check with known good RAM, if it repeats replace the MoBo...and if it happens without any RAM in the slot...replace the MoBo. Lack of sound is suspicious and could also be a symptom of a dead board. :'(
I wish I had better news... A 466 MHz Graphite iBook was my first new laptop and served me well the first two years of High School. I thought the school's T1 powered WiFi was the greatest thing ever at the time.
I know I'd love to see a picture of it along with your other colors!
Well the graphite is probably getting sent back, unless the seller doesn't want it back since it is virtually useless. If that does end up happening, I will probably troubleshoot and see whats wrong. If I can't figure it out, it will be used as parts for my Blueberry which needs an LCD.
I'll take some pictures later, right now I need to contact the seller and see what he wants to do.

Just a bit of warning: I am also on the lookout for iBooks, but I have found that it's extremely rare to find one in good condition for much less than $100 (and they don't show up at places other than eBay very often, adding to the difficulty).
That being said, I recently found two iBooks on Craigslist (a Graphite and an Indigo) for $150 shipped (that's about $75 each, I think); that's probably close to the cheapest I have found for those particular ones, and they're among the few I've come across on Craigslist.
Be that as it may, it's probably quite dumb to complain about the high prices now, since they sold for well above $1000 new.
In other words, these things are relatively cheap right now, even at $100+.

If you come across another with sharpie on it, 50/50 mix of acetone and alcohol and a rag (& a little elbow grease) can get it most if not all off. I had some numerals on my G4 tower which has similar if not the same plastics. Cant see them unless you look really hard now.
It wasn't on the plastic, instead the rubber button.

Bought a nice 3.5" External Floppy drive off of eBay. Complete with original box, plastic, and foam protectors! All for $25 shipped! Sort of a Happy Birthday to me present. More might be coming later on...
Bought an LCD panel for the Blueberry iBook (FINALLY) and a brand new 60GB Fujitsu 4200-rpm (8MB cache) 2.5" IDE drive for the iBook G4, since the original 60GB 4200-rpm Toshiba gave out. Glad I bought them before I started spending money on computers, so I can finally add these Macs back as fully functional to my list of computers (and also because my MBPwR is going in for repairs soon due to a display problem with early models).
Bought a Performa 200 off of eBay. Couldn't find out much info about this model, but I found out it is essentially a Classic 2, carrying a Performa badge. It was apparently the only compact Performa ever made, and was the lowest end model of the first 3 Performas introduced in the early 1990's. Included was the original ADB mouse, Apple Adjustable Keyboard, some System Install disks for 6.0.8, Word 6.0 (for PowerMacs) and 6.0.1.
Total paid: $55. A good deal in my eyes.

UPDATES:
Floppy Drive, HDD, and iBook LCD all came in.
HDD came in earlier this week, got it installed in the iBook G4, works BEAUTIFULLY! Its still 4200rpm, so a little slow, but better then nothing right? No hiccups, good buy.
LCD came today. I got it installed and it works great. I had some problems installed the display data cable due to human error, but all is good now. This is also the first time I have operated on 2 Macs in one week!
Floppy drive came today also, with the drive, box, and original Apple-branded styrophome! I was a bit disappointed with the condition of the box, as it looks like it was used to send something a while back, as to and from labels are on one side of the box, and below it is an old-school UPS tracking label. I haven't had time to the test the drive, but it looks as stated in the auction.

My aunt and uncle gave me some pretty cool Apple stuff today. Here's the list:
iPod Shuffle Product Red box (she gave me the iPod a few months ago, just now found the box)
2 iPhone 3GS boxes. No headphone, sync cables or charging bricks, but all the booklets (including Apple Stickers) and SIM Ejection tool
AirPort Express 1st Gen with the original box and documentation (including software CD!)
And the grand finale!:

It was his old phone, had no use for it, so he gave it to me. Upgraded it to 6.1.3 (I'm surprised that it is still supported!) and it runs like a champ! The only problem is, since my cousins were using it in the later part of its life, the glass is starting to bow inward, so I'm going to try and fix it with a new panel.

Bought a Quadra 605 thanks to tattar8 posting here in the Conquest Section about the place I bought it from. I looked up the craigslist post, and bought the Quadra from them for $35 shipped. Should be here HOPEFULLY by the end of the week, if not, early next week.

Performa: I'm still trying to figure out what the seller wants to do.
Quadra: the case was SHATTERED internally. The supports for EVERYTHING inside, power supply, fan, HDD, FDD, MoBo, were GONE. Case was cracked in a couple spots, and the lid won't go on properly. Seller refunded. I tried it today (with an item from todays conquest) and it worked BEAUTIFULLY (besides needing a PRAM battery and moving around some Extensions).
And I had another conquest today!
I was browsing craigslist a week ago, and a free LaserWriter popped up. I didn't really read the post, just Apple, LaserWriter and free!
One problem, the lady was about 40 miles away. Plus, she had just left town. So I re-read the post, apparently the Mac she was using with it died one day. OK. Chatted with her a bit, and the Mac was bought at the same time, around 1993. The poor thing was doomed for the e-cycling bin tomorrow. Turns out she had a doctor appointment today about 5 miles from my house, so I said "OK, lets do it!". I got tied up at the Apple Store with a problem with my iPhone, but we met later down the street from the store, and I got see exactly what she had:
Quadra 650 (goes with the 605!) (baseline model with no CD drive)
Apple ColorPlus 14" monitor
External SCSI CD drive
Apple Mic
3rd party keyboard
ADB II mouse
LaserWriter Select 360
spare toner cartridge
all the original cables!

I don't know what the problem is with the 650, I'm thinking power supply. I tried it with a known good power cable, didn't work. Any ideas?
The LaserWriter is supposed to work, so we will see. I can sleep well tonight knowing I saved another Mac from the scrap pile (plus, the 3 hours standing around arguing with Genius' helped too).
Best part? My first FREE conquest!
