Have tried the logic board in the SE and have checked the voltages (all fine HD spins up OK) but no joy.

Great idea with the external HD, will try that as soon as I find out if I can use mine with 220V (see this thread http://68kmla.org/forums/viewtopic.php?f=16&t=21025).

If anyones knowes anything about this external HD, let me know!
