After inspecting the bottom of the board and area visible underneath the ROM and RAM chips, there looks to be some faint white spots on it. I hope it is not water corrosion. If it is, it doesn't looks like it has gotten to far.

Aladdin's got exactly the same thing, and I know that her motherboard's never been through a dishwasher like uniserver suggested. What causes this?
