I didn't think about the deflection coils being faulty, no spares or donor machines unfortunately. How can I test these coils? By the way, when I said I resoldered the yoke connector I didn't mean the actual yoke of the tube, I meant all the plug in connectors on the analogue board and logic board. I haven't done any fiddling with the tube itself.
The caps I replaced are all electrolytics including axials plus C1. I used one of these for C1 -

I also did the three big blue ceramics just because one of them had a broken leg. I didn't do any of the film caps, I started choosing components for them but after buying all nichicons for the electros, the price was mounting up so I decided to leave the films.
I'm not sure how I can measure the voltages easily during the startup wonkyness. If the clicking is the crowbar, maybe being tripped by whatever is causing the sparking, won't the supplies all just be switching off?
