Today I picked all this stuff up for $200. Upon going through it I feel like there's way more than $200 worth here. Definitely keeping all of it for life!

All the ones I've tried work great. I think it would take me months to test the rest, there's soooo much! Everything is in amazing shape though.

The board says Apple 1979

Look for the code from the motherboard, it's placed in the left corner next to power supply (when you look the machine from the keyboard direction).

If the board says © 1979 it might be rev.7 RFI model. Take an picture?

Look also the serial number from the unit's bottom, it gives an reference and could see if the motherboard was ever replaced etc.

Sounds like Revision 7 or RFI board.

No, but that shows that it's RFI - board style.

The serial is in the corner, stamped or handwritten like this (the white area in the left upper corner):

You're looking at the memory ammount, it's crossed on the label isn't it?

It should read Serial No : A2S2-xxxxx or so.

Ahh, I see... it reads 8131D, and the serial on the back is A2S2-254412

...by the way, I have an Apple ][ and that same left corner in the little white area is blank. No number or any writing.

So it's from week 31 of year 1981.

Can you take a picture of the another machine you mentioned, would be interesting to see the motherboard (if you can, whole board on picture).

If you could somehow identify my Apple II that would be awesome... I see nothing on it that tells me anything about it except "© 1978" ...there's no serial number or any other information on the back, and that white area on the top left of the board is empty.

The dark green slots and "Apple Computer Inc. 1978" in the middle, tells me it's revision 4 board. If you look closely there might be text "REV 4" under one slot in the middle (closer to CPU) or under the CPU if you lift it.

If my memory serves me any good, it's about 1980-1981 production cycle.

What codes the ROM chips have? (the bigger chips in the middle of the board).

I've had to reorder 341-0020 and 341-0011 off eBay since the first has a broken pin and the second is faulty.

Interesting. So it's a II+ then, eh? It's in an original Apple II case. Was it common to put II+ boards in a II case?

Somebody might have swapped the ROM's later on to upgrade it to II+ . There are non plus machines around with rev.4 board. So basicly it's up to the ROM's what it have.

What color of the power supply it had? Golden i think i saw there. Can be either one. Early Rev.0 Apple II's had usually the metallic/silver power supply.

It looks like Apple used any parts in hand when assembling machines in early days. There's strange combinations around.

It's golden, yep. No label on it either, haha... what a weird machine. Barely working, hardly any identification on it, but it was the first Apple II I'd ever seen in my life... so it has a place in my heart
