I wouldn't run Mountain Lion on anything smaller then a 64GB SSD. Anything below that gets cramped quick. I went with the 120GB in the iMac because A. it was the smallest size Fry's had when I bought it and B. Leopard being the space hog it is, I didn't feel comfortable with something smaller then the original Seagate (Apple Certified) HDD which was 80GB.
