The LCD works but it has some blotches that are purple in it. I have booted it off of external floppy. The machine works great off floppy. I have already tried repairing the drive but I will spend some more time on it. The light is dead, I pulled it out and "attached" it to a working inverter board and it would not light. I used my phone flashlight as a backlight under the edge to see the screen. I pulled the screen from the backlight and the purple is in the screen. The screen already had tants not SMD's on it which is different from the other powerbooks but the blotches are I guess moisture or breakdown in the screen I take it? Its not cracked, as I move the cursor past the marks I can still see it. If I could clean the screen, replace the CCFL (a universal would work) and get the hard drive going (had no luck on three conners so far) the machine is good to go. I will recap it when I get a chance but at the moment the motherboard gives no signs of issue.
