Nice! I've been looking for a way to install an SSD in my PB G4 (same model as yours), but couldn't come up with a solution that would work for less then the cost of a OWC SSD. I would buy one, but they are too expensive for me.
Desktops though are a different story. I need to test how fast my iMac G4 (1GHz, 1.5GB of RAM) that I put a 120GB Samsung SATA3 SSD in is. I did notice A LOT faster boot time then with the original 7200rpm HDD (45 seconds VS 20 seconds). I ran it though a StarTech adapter. Whenever my MBPwR has to go into the shop (one time it was gone for a week), I fall back on the iMac G4. It actaully runs YouTube surprising well with the YouTube5 plug-in in Safari. It smokes any of my other G4s, but when I need to go portable, I use the iBook G4 (14", 1.42GHz) or the PowerBook G4 (12", 1.5GHz). They all work like champs and I will hold onto them until the end.
