I think if you compare the 2 machines by their processor you will find that you have much more respect for the Classic.

For a 68000 machine, the classic runs pretty awesome!

other then the fact that it has no PDS slot. ITs a 68000 machine that is optimized to the hilt.

- its pretty quick(for a 680nothing), and has the nifty ability to boot from rom! -- and it was pretty cheap.

I feel that the Classic II was not a good value(even then), for a 68030 machine.

Even when it was released, had to of been slightly dissapointing.

i mean it didn't even have a PDS slot like the LC-1 or LC-2!!! or color external video port…

Had a Mic in… a super value added feature?
