If i was in college at the time. I would have much rather bought a used Iici or SE/30, maybe even a used portable from a wealthy sales rep, that had just upgraded to a Powerbook 170.

that is right not even real SPAM.

The only os that runs with decent responsiveness on the Classic II is 6.0.8L

7.1 is ok… 7.5 is total crud, 7.6.1 would have caused me insanity.
