Well if I knew you were looking I have the same model sitting somewhere gathering dust (well, its plugged in to keep battery good). It was my main machine until this last summer. Its a solid design. I am a pro photographer and found the machine very capable of handling my work. I only upgraded because I could - to a new 27" iMac.

The PB you have can be upgraded to Mavericks, but you will want to max that thing out to 6GB of RAM before you think about it!
