I love Titanium Powerbooks - while they are fragile and their paint flakes away, to find one in good condition is a rarity and it should be maintained. I don't think Apple made a more attractive portable as these.

My story of a PB Ti is when I had just bought my first house, and was slowly driving home from the solicitors where I had a lot of doubts about the sale, mainly because the contract of sale was so shady (along with the real estate agent I was dealing with). I'd taken a "sick day" to get it all done, it has been a very busy and stressful day. On the way home, through my old suburb, there was a council hard rubbish clean up going on. Nothing to see ... until I saw a brown paper bag, alone outside one house, with something computer-related just visible.

Got out, and big smiles, there was a PB Ti in immaculate condition. Took it home, charger was faulty, found another one and it fired up - 867Mhz model. I used that machine for 2 - 3 years as the main portable in my house, overclocked to 1067Mhz, 1GB RAM and a 120GB HD. It's still looking great.

Due to my good fortune that day, it gave me a feeling that everything would be "OK" with the purchase of the house, and it was all fine in the end - just lazy paperwork.
