I've cracked open my 2 Mac II's in prep for refurbishment.

On one of the machines the two PRAM batteries are soldered in with axial leads. Seems like the following item on that auction site would be appropriate replacements. However, the original Varta batteries are 3.0v. These replacements are 3.6v. Would there be any issues using these as replacements? Would I be better off putting in battery carriers for easier replacement in the future?

I also see a lot of these Saft brand batteries on Amazon and eBay. I'm guessing these would be OK for other Macs that need batteries, or does the collective have a preferred brand or source for replacement batteries?

BTW, the other Mac II has a little board installed with battery holders already installed.

I find it interesting that in both machines, one battery seems to be holding a good charge, while the other is totally discharged. I'm assuming this is normal
