The Xerox "wax" printer sounds like a Phaser which was a printer they bought from Tektronix in the 1990s. They were actually pretty cool.

Yup. But the heads can clog if third party wax is used, as was the case with mine and the previous owner. I got it working very well before storing it. Takes a while to warm up. And you can STILL get free black wax!
