I lost at $203. My bid was only at $202.

True, but you don't know what the other person's max bid was. Could have been $300. For this reason I always bid what I truly will pay for something at the last second. If I don't get it, I have to breathe and just say its too much for my blood. If my max was $200 and I get it for $150, great! Now I can spend $50 on something else I don't need. }
