It's a sin to have only one display hooked up to a Mac that yummy. Keep the bigger gun in the AGP slot, if it's up to doing 8bit Gamer resolutions fine, but a PCI Card will CERTAINLY be down to performing that task.
Wind Tunnels belong on the floor, so don't let the Studio Look limit your choices. The used 20" 1600x1200 native format Dell LCD in front of me is the biggest baddest display I've ever run. Even the 22" Dell CRT hasn't got an active area this size. Resolutions with p suffixes are for watching movies, real work gets done more efficiently inside 4:3. Those bottom 120 pixel rows are worth their weight in gold, especially when I pivot them to the side! [}
