The wood keyboard case is an overlay.
Its not clear in the picture, but the wood case has vents on the sides and on the top that match the vents in the machine. When I go back I will take a better picture of the sides and back of the machine.
There is also a matching wood panel to cover the bottom panel (where the keyboard plugs in) It wasn't attached when I took the picture. I have tried to get him to sell me the case, but he likes it, obviously! I told him to call me when he retires
The black machine is a Mac Plus and an HD20 that was user-painted (but the user did a very good job).
The other machines he has out are an Apple IIe, Apple IIc, Apple III, a Woz-edition IIgs, 512k Mac, those Mac Plusses, a Classic, Color Classic, Powerbook 160, Powerbook G3 Kanga, Powerbook G3 Pismo, one of the Apple PowerCD things, an iBook SE, and a few others. In the back he has even more he hasn't put out. He is a great guy. Very patient with me when I want to come chat about random old Apple stuff!
