Bought an powermac g4 sawtooth , my first vintage mac ever,for about 10 dollars . It's an old 400 megahertz model .

I have already upgraded it with 1 gb of sdram and an dvd burner .

Does anyone know if the cpu can be upgraded and how can it be upgraded ?

Congrats, yes the CPU can be upgraded using another CPU or from a third party.

What cpu would you recommend and from what "donor" machine ?

Also do you know how I can get rid of side case scratches ?

Would love to restore this old beast to its former glory .
