Just about any stiff wire in a hook shape that doesn't let the anode cable move about will work. It is a few thousand volts but the current is really low. I've had to work with a decent number of old TV sets where you didn't even have the suction cup. The insulated wire just terminated with a bare metal clip. You learned quickly to not grip that before discharging it.
