Wierd issue with iBook G4

Wierd issue with iBook G4 PowerPC 5 posts Oct 5, 2014 — Oct 6, 2014
I've been using my iBook G4 1.33ghz off and on lately and noticed something odd when booting 10.4.11.  While it has been connected to my home wifi before it always starts with it not being connected.  I always have to select the network I can use it.

With 10.5 it automatically connects.

Any ideas as to what I can do to fix this?

I have noticed the same issue with my Power Mac G4! Is it supposed to be like that or something?

It does the same thing my PowerBook G4 on 10.4, so I took it as a normal function - the Powerbook turns off the wifi and I have to turn it back on.

But I'll add, my "Evil Genius" (EnGenius) USB Wifi adapter on the same PowerBook has some strange behavior as well. Usually when I shut down I turn off the "Evil Genius" and turn it back on when I turn on the Powerbook. But when I forget to turn off the "Evil Genius" when I turn off the Powerbook, when I turn on the Powerbook again, I am greeted with a message that says "EnGenius needs to be reestablished in the Network Control Panel." But that message is in error as because when I turn on "Evil Genius" again, everything connects itself.

It's not a bug, it's a security feature. :)

Now where have I heard that line before? LOL!
