A while ago(maybe a year ago) I was talking to a local book-store owner who was a former IT guy. We spoke about Zip drives(I bet a lot of people here remember those). I spoke to him a couple of weeks ago(to see if he had any SCSI Zip drives) and aqaured a 'PowerMac G4' tower that wasn't working. It needed a new battery, which I got off of Amazon.(it cost $8.00 CND). He said I could keep it if I promised him to help him out with Mac in the future(as he has a couple more G4 towers which he uses). Since the G4 can run OS 9.2.2 natively I will be 'recalying' my 6400.(I've removed all the useful parts from it.)
I picked up a CD module from ebay for my WIP Lombard and it came with a VST Zip-100 expansion bay module. Since I already have a Zip-250 EBM, I really don't need this one and wondered if someone might like to trade it for something more interesting?
For sheer completeness value, I'd be interested in trading it for an LS-120 EBM for the Pismo/Lombard. I'm also still looking for a replacement B&W G3 motherboard. Beyond that, I've got 2 Pismos, a WIP Lombard and a Wallstreet PDQ, so I'm pretty flexible in what I can make use of.
I can also throw in plenty of media, if you want. I think I even have some unopened PC-formatted Zip 100s and 250s. (though, obviously, the 250s won't work with this drive.
Thanks...
