I plead the 5th on that memory board's demise.

Thing is this - the 1400cs worked fine before the memory upgrade and then the video Simasima'd when turned on and it never was the same again. Did the memory upgrade kill LCD Display? Or cut a couple of wires in the lcd harness? Can't say, don't know.
