That sounds like a good question for techknight. For me, I rebuilt my original battery and use the original 1.5a charger with it. Even though the battery won't last long with limited use of the computer, I have been using it for the past six months or so and this time alone I found to be worth the $35 for the battery rebuild, even if just temporary until I forget to charge it one week...
