From the description it seems pretty unambiguous that it's for a Mac Pro, not a G5.

Presumably it's broken the same way this one is. Did you pay less than $23.75 to get it shipped to you? If so you, uhm, totally won buying it instead? Looks like going rate for one known to work is around $35 and up.
