I've posted this before - I've had great success using various heat sinks with heat sink epoxy (where you mix two parts and it hardens over time). Here's a picture where you can see some of the heat sink epoxy between the CPU (on a QuadDoubler) and the heat sink. The epoxy works just as well with copper heat sinks.
