Macintosh Classic bad wobbling picture

Hi there,

I am from germany and i try to fix my macintosh classic.

The classic have a problem with the picture.

When i turn the mac on there is no sound and the crt shows a bad wobbling picture.

I have already recapped the logicboard and cleaned it up as good as possible by using a special board cleaner.

This had no change to this problem.

Is anybody out there who knows this problem?

Hello,

The wobbly raster suggests that the Classic's voltages could be low. You will need a multimeter.

its been discussed in several threads, you must recap the analog board as well.

You are speaking about chapter 5.1 with the volatges on the external floppy connector, right?

That would be my next step.

I already ordered new capacitors for the analogboard.

When they arrive i will do the job as soon as possible.

After you have recapped the AB use this chapter to make sure that all of the voltages are in spec.
