Suggestion
For security reasons, I strongly suggest that when registering and sending the confirmation e-mail, please do not send the password in plain text! That drives me nuts.

That's just a standard feature of phpBB. I guess it could pose a bit of a security risk...
You can always change your password immediately after you've registered...if you're paranoid.... 
If somebody has access to your computer (to be able to read your email), they will most likely be able to do quite a bit more damage then post silly things on this website in your name.
