Although I'm a little biased, I prefer the general design of the black website. However, the wording and content could be improved upon! As a basis, your wording looks pretty good - though there are a few little things I would change.

After tomorrow, I should have plenty of time to work on some sort of CMS system for the site. I'll try and get something set up this weekend.

We'll need to get the prizes and judging sorted out pretty quickly. Before we can start accepting entries anyway. I guess we should just make an executive decision about this soon.
