I've got a 12" RGB Display. As tomlee59 says, CRTs can't develop dead pixels but burning is possible. Perhaps what you think is a dead pixel is in fact a mark someone made with a biro on the screen lol!

Unfortunately, the video cable doesn't quite want to sit snugly in my 475's video port, so the picture tends to flicker quite a bit!
