Does the right mouse button have any functionality under System 6?

Err, yes. Companies like MouseWorks and Logitech provided control panels that worked with System 6 to add functionality to multi-button mice and trackballs. The right button functionality will depend on the software. Unix specific functionality was provided for MacX and A/UX.
