Superdeeeduper

you would not be so lucky to have a G3 card in it are you ?

Oooh, nice. The 7200s are decent machines, I have a 7200/120.

He said *7100* and yes I know the 7200's are awesome machines

Oh, oops. I have a 7100/66 too! :D No drives in it though, plus the plastics are pretty yellowed.

i got its defect cousin a 6100

Defect?! I love the 6100s. They have a nice formfactor. :p I just need a new cover for mine, as one of the tabs is broken off, plus the CD bezel is missing.

They work ok until you need to upgrade them and realize you don't have enough room to plug anything in. I don't know what they were thinking when they designed the pizza box cases that can't take more than one expansion card mounted in awkward sideways position. The rumor that Macs can't be upgraded and have to be thrown out and replaced must have been started by these machines. I'm sure of it.

nah that started with the 128 k mac

but its lmost impossible to upgrade it the nive formfactor be damned thats why its a defect cousin

But it's true! They cost three times as much as normal computers and you can't even upgrade them - they don't let you open them up, you have to go back to MAC and buy a new one only three years later! There's no games for MAC anyway, and one-button mice totally suck! I used that OS9 thing on someone's i-MAC once and I'm telling you, Vista Ultimate is so much better than what MAC sell you.

PS I'm joking, in case you hadn't realised :p

YES I-MACS ARE VERY FUGLY COMPUTTERS!

lol j/k

You forgot the most damaging criticism of them all. They are so bad that even the monochrome compact AIOs spend most of their time showing the BSOD ...

Basically being 100% Against the point of these forums.

right so you are claiming the x200 machines are actually good ?

They can be if you allocate them the right task. Mine has a TV/Video system, and it makes a great media centre machine. (albeit older)

for day to day tasks they are rubbish

my 6300 had trouble finding its hard disk and when it did boot it would usually crash

I'll take any x100 over any x2xx any day of the week. The x2xx machines I leave on the sidewalk and give 'em a swift kick as I go by.

7220,4400,5260 etc, sure ... but a black 5500DE is teh sex.

I've never been a fan of the 6100. No soft power on a Power Mac!? C'mon!

But unique Macs are great! The only Power Mac with hard power...the only Mac that lets you see what the "it's now safe to turn off your Mac" dialog looks like in OS 9... :)
