CRTs in compacts are as follows:

TYPE I CRT (has big clear connector on the end)

128K

512K/512Ke

Plus

SE

SE/30

Classic with Rev. A Analog Board

TYPE II CRT (has smaller white connector on the end, fits over pins rather than connector on analog)

Classic with Rev. B Analog Board

Classic II (to my knowledge all have Rev B)

Performa 200 (same as above)

To see what type of board your Classic has, open it up. If the CRT connects with a white connector you've got B, if it's got a clear one it's A. Also, most every Classic made in 1990 and many made in early 1991 have Rev. A. Rev. B seemed to have come out around Spring 1991.

Patrick's Classic has Rev. A since the CRT is interchangeable with an SE/30. If he had Rev. B that would not be possible (though modifications probably could be made by someone handy with the soldering iron and the wires).
