Does the 320 have a real on/off switch, or does it go into a low power sleep mode and shut off the fixer roll heater after being idle for a long time?

No switch. Only sleep mode. I have a 4/600 as well. It is almost the same printer as the 320. It also has a sleep mode and use it often without any problems.
